The Front Royal Warren County Economic Development Authority (EDA) is seeking qualified community members to serve on its Small Business Loan Review Committee, which plays a key advisory role in supporting local business growth and community development.
The Loan Review Committee evaluates loan applications for the EDA’s USDA Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) and Rural Business Enterprise Loan (RBEL) programs. The committee’s recommendations help the EDA Board make informed lending decisions that align with the County and Town comprehensive plans and the EDA’s strategic economic development goals.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should possess experience in business, management, or community engagement, along with a basic familiarity with financial statements. Members must be residents of Warren County and able to successfully complete a background check.
The EDA is particularly interested in attracting applicants who represent or have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Small business ownership
- Agriculture or agribusiness
- Nonprofit leadership or community service
- Financial or loan expertise
- Hospital or healthcare administration
- Strong local connections or civic involvement
Role and Responsibilities
Committee members will review and evaluate loan applications, assessing both financial feasibility and alignment with local and regional development priorities. Recommendations from the committee will guide the EDA Board’s final decisions on funding.
